Hey everyone! I just took a vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and saw some really cool fish. But one that I saw was unusual, and I've never seen it before. It was in a school of at least ten, and looked like a stick. Kind of like a needle nose gar, and in the Caribbean saltwater. It was right at shore also. I have no pictures though, sadly as they were quick. Anybody have any idea of what they are?

Sounds like you saw needlefish.

Yes, sounds like a needlefish ... but also check out cornetfish (Fistularia) to see if that might match.
