Clearseal Base Mats

I have a thin layer of cardboard as my base at the moment as a substitute for polystyrene. The tank isn't full yet so it's a good time to buy one of these.

I dunno. I just use a towel... Guess it's up to you. Cardboard is fine.

I might just leave the cardboard as it is. I can't see what the mats have that polystyrene or cardboard doesn't. Then again those mats are made for the purpose and cardboard isn't.
It's more money spent so i think i'll leave it.
