Crushed coral?

I just purchased an aquarium from an individual and it had crushed coral in it I was wondering if this is safe for my fish
Angels
Mollies
Black skirt
Bn pleco
Royal pleco
Platy's

Soon to get a couple cichlids after tank is setup and cycled

Not usually used in freshwater setups, no. It's also very course, so the plecos may not like it. What's your normal PH? Coral will raise PH and it usually isn't needed for most tropical fish. I'd go with a smooth gravel or even better, sand.
