Hi ppl I have been cycling my tank with ammonia I have 5ppm in my tank at the moment I am showing high nitrites and high nirates is it cycling right ???

Sounds like it! How long since you started?

I would back off on the ammonia to 2 ppm daily (and make sure it goes to 0ppm in 24hrs) until you see the nitrites drop to 0.

At that point, you should be able to add 2ppm ammonia, and it should be able to clear both the ammonia and nitrites to 0ppm in 12hrs.

Hmm, unless you seeded your filter, I doubt it. Have you checked your tap water (or whatever water you are using) for nitrites/nitrates?

It's more important to add the ammonia and see it drop to 0. When your tank is cycled, you should see the ammonia AND nitrites drop to 0 within 12-24hrs after a 2ppm dose.
