Can i start my first cycle w/o my live rock? is the shrimp way the best way to introduce ammonia to my tank. the live rock i am getting i found out this morning is back ordered for up to 2 weeks, so i have a tank with saltwater and my skimmer and pumps running now..

You can do it but you`ll have to cure your LR after you get it and it will be weeks before it`s ready. Better to cycle the tank and cure the LR at the same time in the same tank. JMO
