desperately seeking help floating algae/green water problem

okay, dropped to about 6 houts a day on the lights but increased lumens

went from 80w fluorescent to 260 pcs sill have green water it dimmed but it now seems to fluoresce under the new lights. :x

i put in some phos-x, changed 25 of 72 gallons of water, added a red caulerpa and some cerith and bumblebee snails,


is there a fish that will eat this free floating stuff,

should i try a diatom filter...

please help guys...

Bubblebee snails can be bad in a reef tank if this is one. Have you ran carbon, carbon will take the green out of the water.

the algae that popped last week was a green bubble algae, i came home and saw the casing drifting on the sand about a foot away from the live rock that it had been on, I pulled the case and i did wonder if the green cloudiness had been caused by it.
