any preference for verticle or horizontal low, close to substrate. for discus

Heaters usually work best(distribute more evenly)if you put them low, horizontal, and an air bubbler underneath.

In my discus tank, my heater is vertical where there is lot of current.
Discus will find a vertical or steep angled surface to lay their eggs so discus breeders will place the heater horizontally to avoid "cooking" the eggs.

thanks for that advise was doing research and have found majority agree horizontal is best less likely to burn the disus
