Hi guys,

I think my betta Merric has anchor worms!! I think this because the white spots don't look like grains of salt/sand. :( :banghead:  :bawl:

I'm posting pictures to see if you guys can help me out.

Depending of what you guys think he has, please suggest what do?

Help needed,
Patty

Where are the spots you are mentioning?

I can't really see spots in the pics???
They don't look round. More like claw-like.
Here are close ups.

I think it's just its fin growing out. You would see multiple white spots all over the body if it was ich

Do an image search of the Anchor Worms...they seem to have a forked snake tongue look on the end.

It could be.

Keep a close eye on the spots and see if they get bigger
It could be where the fish had ammonia burns and now the fins are growing back.

I just had a bout of it which apparently came from some plants from outdoor buckets I have.

Used Seachem Paraguard and fed PRAZIQUANTEL FLAKES from Peabody's Paradise $5.00 which I had purchased in advance due to internal parasite issue before with new fish. I now feed new fish a few days of this while they are in QT.
