1~What type of fish is afflicted? In addition, please describe what is wrong with the fish to the best of your ability (i.e. cotton like growth, bloated, etc.).

Dwarf gourami, has a clear black edge on his top fin and black specks elsewhere (see photo). This section of his fin was damaged when I got him about 2 weeks ago, but has been growing back nicely and I just noticed this yesterday.

He is really opening up after being shy for the first week, and his appetite has increased the last couple of days.

2~What are your tank parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, temp, pH)? Please give exact values.

Ph 7.4
A .25 (api is always .25, seachem alert shows as 0.00)
nI 0
nA 0 (sometimes gets up to 10 before plants and algae get to it within a day)
Temp 76F

I add aquarium salt dissolved into WC to maintain a ratio of 3oz salt for the ~15 gal of water in tank (had some short term issues my last new fish add, salt seems to have helped me stabilized things and made the fish happier, so I'm sticking with the brackish tank)

3~ How large is the tank? How long has the tank been set up?

20gal Hex, first set up for fishless cycling 3/2/20, first fish added 4/29/20.

4~What type of filtration are you using? Please give the name and number (i.e. Fluval 304) and amount of gph if known.

HOB top fin silenstream, 100gph rated

5~How many fish are in the tank? What kinds of fish are they and what are their current sizes?

6 danios, 1 dwarf gourami. All are adult.

6~When is the last time you did a water change and vacuum the gravel? How often do you do this? How much water do you remove at a time?

Last wc was last weekend, I vacuum the gravel at weekly water changes. WC is 25-50%, depending on how much attention the gravel seems to need

7~How long have you had the fish? If the fish is new, how did you acclimate it/them?

Had him for 2 weeks. Acclimated by soaking in bag 30 mins, adding 4 oz of tabk water tk bag each 10 mins until full, discard half the bag of water and repeat. The scooped out to main tank.

8~Have you added anything new to the tank--decor, new dechlorinator, new substrate, etc.?

No

9~What kind of food have you been feeding your fish, have you changed their diet recently?

Flakes, the DG doesn't like the red ones though. Frozen brine shrimp weekly, and the danios seem to make picking their eggs out of the gravel a pasttime.
