EI dosing KH2PO4- mono potassium phosphate and algae bloom

Per EI dosing my 90gal I should be dosing 1/2 tsp 3x/week. 1/4 tsp on the lean end. Either way, my phosphates are off the charts. I understand it's estimated.

****Is there anyone out there not dosing KH2PO4?*****

Ive been able to get phosphates down to .25-.5 and with 1/8 tsp it's jumped to 1-2ppm

I'm hoping my plants can consume enough before my next dose.

Personally, I don't worry about my levels when I dose EI. My
Phosphates typically run around 7 or 8ppm.

But I'm dealing with a massive algae bloom. I'm trying to narrow down the cause.

Well you need to look into light/carbon source, not nutrients. What kind of lights are you running and on what size tank? Co2?
