5 is absolutely fine.

yes, you can dose a glutaraldehyde product then as well.

glutaraldehyde rapidly breaks down in water, so dosing at 5 will leave lots of time for it to perform.

is a "glutaraldehyde" product which is not really a carbon source.

It supplies roughly 2ppm of CO2 at a full dose from my reading, the rest degrades protein films on plant leaves to allow more efficient use of ambient CO2 concentrations and breaks down algae cells.

half life is fast, so dosing at 5 means it will have plenty of time to "work" before your lights shut down
