electiric blue lobster question

i have an electric blue lobster. for the last 4 days he has stayed in the same spot. so much that he has sediment from rocks and such on the top of his shell. he moves some forward and backward and reacts when i put my hand by him but he is still really inactive. he will not come out for food. i have to target feed him, which he will eat little bits at a time. my wife thinks he might acting like this because he might be getting ready to molt but i'm not sure. this is the first one we had and not sure what to expect. anyone have any insight?
