I just added a feather duster to my tank. I placed him on a rock near the filter flow. My gph is 400 from the filter.

1. Do I need more water movement or is this sufficient?

2. Is the rock a good place for him? or sand? or doesn't it matter?

If your getting 400 gph in a 29gal, that's a good bit of flow. I would move the duster to the sand and bury part of the tube. Good luck.

Thats ALOT of flow for a duster unless its really indirect flow. They will do fine in the rock, just make sure the tube wont get pinched.
