Fluval Aquaclear 50 won't staet

I purchased two of these filters. One worked as soon as I plugged it in, the other won't work at all.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

I'm hoping that it is a setting set wrong. The LFS is about 40 miles (40 miles = 64.4 km) (40 miles (40 miles = 64.4 km) = 64.4 km (64.4 km = 40 mi)) each way.which is why I haven't exchanged it

When I start my fluval c4 I have to turn it on and pour water in it to start it up I don't know if it will work with your filter but you could give it a try.

Try poking the impeller with a tooth pick it skewer, after water changes sometimes I have to give it a poke to get it going, also priming it with water helps..

my daughter pokes me all the time drives me crazy lol

1.) is the impeller running
2.) did you prim the filter
3.) is your tank filled to proper level
4.) is it plugged in

some times filters need a kick start
you may need to prim it
other times even after priming it it still don't catch
pull out impeller smear a small bit of KY jelly on the magnetic part if impeller
reinstall prim filter and it should kick in almost instantly
