foil tape reflectors for t8 lighting

So I've recently replaced both of my t8 bulbs with aqueon full spec daylight bulbs. Has anyone every tried using that reflective foil tape on the plastic innards to boost brightness and/or reduce heat?

I made with cfl's and it worked great for me
