I would like to setup a fuge with my current setup. Can I move my skimmer in the first chamber with the drain? Will it affect my skimming by moving it there? I eventually want to do a reverse lighting schedule with chateo. Let me know what's the best way. Thanks.

If the water level in that part of your sump is proper for the skimmer, I don't think it matters which section it sits in. I prefer the skimmer is the first piece of the filtering process the return tank water experiences.

It should never go in the third chamber. This is the area where water levels will fluctuate and then affect how it will operate.
