Hey!!!

It's been a long time since I posted here, but recently my goldfish has started developing something that looks like a tumor. So I was wondering if anyone knows how to treat it, or knows exactly what it is?

It's a golden fantail goldfish, alone in a 20 gallon tank.

Water Parameters:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
pH: 7.8
Nitrate: 10 ppm

I do 80% water changes weekly, and use prime.

I believe it may be lympthocytis. These are benign tumors that goldfish commonly grow that are thought to be caused by a virus. There is no 'cure' though an aquatic vet can surgically remove them. As long as the fish is happy & healthy there is nothing to worry about unless it grows so big that it is hampering his quality of life. Keep up the good work keeping his water healthy! :)
