Try carbon and uv, however if you are going to use a uv light run it for about 10 min a day no more day 30 min a week. But it is normal for a tank to have that most times your cleanup crow will eat them though.
Nuisance algae feeds off of nitrate and phosphates in your water. Below are articles on algae control as I don't believe it to be coraline at this time. In terms of the UV sterilizer mentioned above, these aren't very effective as it would require a large amount of the water column to pass through the sterilizer and the clip on type that are marketed just don't have enough water pass through them to do anything beneficial.
