Green Leather Coral Fraging Itself.

Hey guys. Has anyone had a green polyp leather literally frag itself? I mean actually ripped a piece of itself off and grew the missing part back in?

Keep an eye on where it broke off. It should heal itself up, but spots like that can become a haven for sand or other stuff that can irritate and kill tissue. In terms of a budding event, I haven't witnessed it from a mushroom leather but don't know why it wouldn't be able to. I'm sure there is a reason for it.
