I need a heater for my 5g RCS tank. I currently have a Fluval Submersible 25 watt, and while it's adjustable no matter how low it's set the water temp is close to 79. Is there a heater for that size tank with an actual thermostat?

Thanks :)

As long as your room isn't getting super cold you could just leave it unheated. My tank in my bedroom is staying about 72°F.

Do you think unplugging the heater would cause a temperature drop that would affect the shrimp?

I'm having a problem finding an adjustable heater as well for nano tanks. Following to see what else gets suggested. Don't buy DEEP BLUE brand Bettastik. Not worth the $10 and not adjustable.

I'm currently browsing on Amazon.

I ended up shutting off the heater, at that point the tank temp was an exact 80. Has nothing to do with room temperature.

I have one of those flat Hydor 15w heaters that I'll put in to maintain a decent temp until I find something else.

I had a heck of a time finding a small heater to fit in the filtration compartment of my new rimless tank. I ended up going with one of these. Very sleek look and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. They aren't adjustable, but they have a thermostat in them which will turn them off unlike the heat sticks which just heat constantly.
