Help 55 Gallon Start up

Ok I have set up a 25 gallon and 36 gallon. The 25 was a fish in cycle (Which was ****) and 36 fishless can we say easy... now to the 55 been set up 3 weeks no site of nitrites,... why?

If the other tanks are fully cycled, take some gravel/decco/filter media from each to seed your big tank, just not too much from each that it'd cause a mini cycle in them.

Plants help cycle a tank too.

That tough for sure. Even if you don't want plants, I'd suggest getting some cheap plants like anacharis bundles and toss them straight in. It helps a lot IMO/E.
