hermit crabs

here we go i brought 2 hermit crabs and i used 2 see 2 of them out and about then 4 weeks i only seen 1 but every now and then that 1 i seen would disappear and when it returned the other would disapear could 1 be dead and the other just swaps and changes.when they disapear i cant seem 2 find there shells i dont want 2 pull my tank aprt as its a hassle. i havnt seem the 2 together 4 about 8-9 weeks

are you talking about the small regular sized ones or the giant ones. Two regular sized ones are not enough for that tank. Maybe you have the big ones

What kind of hermit is it? It is very possible that they are hiding in some rock crevices during the day.

Check the tank after you shut the lights out for the night. About an hour after, look in and see if you see them both. My blue legged hermits hide all day long.

not sure what kind they r but there black with white strips over them and r regular size
