How long to run refugium light?

I read that running a refugium light at night while the DT, was off was better. That the plants in the refug does not take out the left over CO2 at night while the refug and display tank was off, leaving a drop of ph. Is this true? If so I should run the lights off set, and for how long? I am currently running my display tank for eight hours.

Yes, its best to run the fuge lights at night. I run my lights for around 10 hours per night, starting them at around 8pm and shutting them at 6. While the plants need light, they also need a dark period, and you should make sure they get at least a few hours every day.

I run mine when my main lights are out, so overnight for me. I have mine set on a timer so it makes it nice and easy
