I have a newly set up 55 litre (14.5 us gallon) tank. How many fish at a time should I add and how long in between adding more?

How many fish is ok for this size tank?

Is this your first tank? Has it been cycled yet? You can't just ask how many fish you can add, they come in different sizes and make different amounts of waste (called bioload). You need to answer these questions first.

Yes the tank is cycled. Was thinking of

1x dwarf ram
1x dwarf gourami
2x leopard corys
4x x- ray tetras
4x guppies

Yeah, that will probably work. You should probably take out the cories, because they prefer groups of 4 or more, and you can't add any more in there. It is a bit overstocked anyway.

Would it be ok to keep the corys and have 3x x-ray tetras and 3x guppies. I wanted some bottom feeders. How many fish would you add at a time and how long inbetween adding the next ones. I would be doing a weekly 25% water change

I would do 3 guppies, 6 tetras and the 4 corys and call it stocked.

As far as how many fish to add at once, how did you cycle the tank?
