No need to add fish food. A dosing of 4ppm once before you leave should be good. This will be interesting to see how the second dosing progresses when you return. I believe that this break will be better for a cycle as opposed to continually dosing 4ppm.

Be sure to get pure ammonia without any fragrance or additives of any kind. Hardware stores often carry it. I've found grocery stores tend to carry ammonia with additives which you don't want to get.
