Is filter working properly??

Hi my filter is acting strange but it maybe normal , sometimes when I stop the filter to do a water change then plug it back on it doesn't seem as powerful , usually after getting some dirt out the filter it doesn't seem as powerful after? Then I leave it alone for 4 days n it becomes more powerful , can't understand it

What kind of filter is it? How do you maintain it -- for example, how often do you clean it and so on?

If you have air trapped in the suction tube, it will slow down the water movement. As it runs it will gradually remove the air and the flow will increase.
