Hi all,

I got a few corals a month ago from a friend who ended up having to move out of town abruptly. O e of me was this ricordia. I just noticed something funny at the base that I think might be some sort of tube worm. Thoughts?

It's the orange thing just sticking out of a tiny white tube looking thing at the very bottom of the coral, right above the purple epoxy. I'm brand new to the sight and haven't yet updated my profile but I've included my tank details below along with a picture

My tank details are as follows:
-16 gallon saltwater tank (Nuvo Aquarium nano 16)
-15-17 pounds of live rock (all came almost completely covered in coralline algae. If you live in Manhattan, check out Manhattan Aquariums)
-live sand
- only 1 fish (clown goby)
-cleaner shrimp
-assorted hermits and snails
-ball of chaeto in display tank (no refugium)
-a few corals (long story)

I set the tank up about 4 months ago
