Jungle Val roots

I bought some jungle vals online and they arrived this morning. Most if not all the roots are half inches long with maybe 1 or 2 strands that's 2 inches! I tried planting them but 2/3 of the jungle Val I received are floating. Will they grow roots when they're floating?

Yes, the roots will grow towards the substrate. With jungle val, it's important to just plant a the crown and keep the roots covered.
