Hello all,
My led light had been up and running for a few weeks now and looking good. Id like a more blue look though as right now its a crisp white with hints of blue. I have 4 whites (6500k) and 4 royal blue.

I was thinking about adding 4 more royal blue leds, right down the middle. Id have to run this new strip on a new meanwell as the current ones is maxed out. I am having trouble figuing out what color temp I would wind up with with 8 royal blue and 4 whites. I have no idea how to estimate the color temp. of royal blues. My guess is they are some 20,000k or so? I dont think blue can be given a color temp.

Any ideas? I could totally re-do my power supplies and wiring such that I could dim the 6500k leds, but that seems inefficient. I want looks and growth, so dimming the 6500k seems like a bad idea. Would adding 4 more royal blue get me to a nice blue look? Do corals grow under this blue light?
Matt
