Led lighting question

I was thinking about replacing my old fluorescent fixture and replacing with a single bright led system. I now have a glass lid on my 20 gallon tank. Do these lights look better with an open top or can you also use them with glass tops

I use mine on a glass top. Seems fine to me. you'll want your enclosure for the light to be larger than the light itself or you're going to get a lot of reflection into your room.
