Should you leave actinic lights on 24 /7 or is there a time limit.for white light and actinic light. And should you put a reef tank in darkness at night time

For me all lights go off at 8pm then moonlights till 3am then total darkness.

I don't think you'd want the actinic lights on 24/7

Start with the actinic lights, then daylights then the reverse for night time. Daylights off then after a little bit then actinic lights off.

This is of course just my opinion but I think it's good to have a period of total darkness.

My blue LED dim to between fully off to 15% thru out the month to mimic lunar cycle. I actually like it a lot.
