Ok we need to motify two filters, both are whisper 10-30i's. They need raised we know metal screws can't be used any suggestions on what can be used? My Husband wants to know if solid brass can be used becaused it doesn't rust?

By raised, do you mean lifted away from the tank edge/bottom?

They need to be raised? If they screws are going to to contact the water they need to be high grade stainless. But if you just use a piece of plastic cut to fit snug they will raise the filter and screws will not be needed.

Plastic screws would be best.
