new to aquatics. mucky water.

I recently setup a 30g L leopard frog tank with 10 g of water. After not rinsing the rocks off well enuff the water became dirty instantly. Its been 4 days and the water is still musky. What to do?

If no livestock, you can do big water change everyday (90%) until it's getting better. Do you have any filter running?

Got a waterfall filter (specs say up to 55g) it seems a lil sketchy so I made a home made filter, sub pump(125 gph, sponge, and carbon.
