My Husband went off on a whim and bought a rather small 19L tropical fish tank. He was wanting all sorts of fish but didn't really research it much so I have kind of taken over.
We now have two small Platys and two balloon Mollies (who touch wood seem to be doing fine). Been 4 weeks in total with the fish in the tank.
I now think that one of my Platys is preggers!? It is looking rather round and does look like it is has a black bit near the anus fin. I have now been able to sex the fish and looks like one is a boy and one a girl! Perhaps the girl was pregnant from the shop though.
Anyway just need some advise on it being pregnant really - wasn't actually expecting to start breeding them and now we have such a small tank I'm not sure what to do. Also do other fish eat the young? (Should have researched a bit more I know)!
Any advise would be appreciated.
