This is weird, I bought a few plants from that fish place when I was there yesterday, I am watching my fish and I notice something that looks like a piece of string or root, upon closer inspection this "worm" is actually swimming in my tank. Any ideas what it could be and should I remove it?

So I googled small white worms, I am getting planaria and nematodes, do I remove these?

I had planaria and couldent see it untill I put my filter media on a plate while tank cleaning. Thos only get a couple mm long. How long is the one you have?

I did replace my filter media and let the new filter media I soaked it in tank water forreasons and didnt get a recycle. They seem to hang out in the filter media.

they get 1-20mm
I had them at about 2-5mm

Yeah that fish place in lancaster.

It looks about 2-4 mm long, but its free swimming and not on the glass does that mean its a nematode?
