If you overcondition water is there harm to your fish. Does it depend on what conditioner it is?

No you should be ok. All conditioner does is take the chlorine and chloramine out of the tap water. Makes it safe for the fish and let's the nitrogen cycle begin. Most of them are 1 teaspoon to 10 gallons. If you use Prime, it is 1 cap full to 50 gallons.

Hello edu...

There's nothing in aquarium water conditioners that's harmful. Even if you accidentally dumped the entire contents of the container into the tank, you'd have more expensive tank water with no ammonia, chlorine and chloramine.

I wouldn't fret over this one. If this is the worst mistake you ever make in tank management, you'll be fortunate.
