Hey all,

Soon I will have to set up an overflow in my 180 I was looking at glass-holes.com but could anyone give me some idea of what size/gph ect that would be best? Also what sort of return pump would I need, it's a 6x2x2 which is going I be a mixed reef. Or any tips in general about making an overflow and sump set up. I've never had a sump installed in any if my tanks. Thanks a bunch guys.

And girls. How rude of me.

I'd do multiple overflows in that tank. For the return pump it'll have to be fairly powerful, it should turn over the water at least 10x per hour. So I'd look at a 1800gph + pump. What sized sump are you going to use? Are you going to have a refugium? Skimmer section? I'd probably use a 55 or 75 if you can. I don't know much about reef tanks... hopefully someone who knows more can jump in
