Pebbles or gravel in U.G. Filter?

He i recently got a tank that came with and Under Gravel filter and i was wonder if i could use pebbles instead of gravel? And if there any advantages or disadvantages for each?

Most advise against the UG filters as they usually get gunked up & are difficult to clean under, just something to think about. So long as the pebbles aren't small enough to get into the holes of the filter I think you're fine. I like the pea gravel which I have in my 46g but I don't have a UG filter.
 
Yeah im not planning on heavily setting up this tank, its just that my german rams layed eggs and were terrorizing the whole tank so im temporarily moving my discus to the new tank untill my rams raise there babys haha
