So at work we have a 700 gallon tank that we are currently transferring from a cichlid tank to a community tank. I was thinking about some huge Amazon swords, Anubias and Java ferns. Possibly some vals. The lighting above the tank is pretty subtle, but it's next to an east facing window. CO2 is not an option so I'm thinking just low light plants. Anyone have any suggestions of other huge plants? What are some of the biggest sword varieties? The tank is about 3' deep.
Thanks in advance

I'm thinking lots of swords, crypts, and Val's. To avoid dosing for such a large tank.

I'd love to see a picture of this monster tank!

I agree with the pics, I just bought a ozlet sword (i think thats right) for my tanks thats 24' high. Leaves are just breaking the surface and i paid like $11 for it, Very healthy and already has a runner with 5 Plantlets.

I agree with he plants listed by you and above members. You could also do some crypts, if you're willing to throw in a couple root tabs for them. I want to see pics, 700 gallons is huge!

Ok so it's been a couple weeks since I took these pics, we added/ moved around the driftwood a bit and it has more swords, Java ferns and Anubias in it now, but here it is:

Currently it's stocked with:
25 Congo tetras
12 full size Angels
6 adult male millennium rainbows
6 boesemani rainbows
6 turquoise rainbows
12 pearl gouramis
A handful of BN and rubber lip plecos
A pair of kribensis cichlids (that just had babies on Thursday!)
Any suggestions?? The owners love bright colors

I do about a 200 gallon water change on it weekly. But the worst part is with the temp around 78 it evaporates like 10 gallons a day...

Yep! I do the majority of the freshwater side. But yes the store mainly focuses on maintaining and selling things for reefs.

I know you are asking about plants, but what equipment is on that tank?

It has a built in overflow and is drilled. Has a sump underneath with bio balls, UV sterilizer, and a carbon reactor. It used to have a ginormous ~2 foot tall canister on it also but the pump went out and we haven't gotten it replaced. Because of the length of the tank, and because the return pipes are on one end, I have a huge powerhead on there as well to help prevent detritus settling at the other end.

Honestly I don't really know what the lights are. Some type of LED made for viewing only.
