I'm all set up and "think" I've begun my cycling process. Now I'm starting to wonder if I bought the right right of shrimp... It's the kind in the circular container with the dip in the middle (making me hungry just thinking about it) I noticed last night, AFTER I put two of the small shrimps in the tank that the container said cooked... Are these okay to use or do I need to hit up the seafood counter for a couple of fresh dead shrimp?

to me it sounds like you might have gotten the wrong kind. I found my bag of shrimp in the frozen foods section next to all the fish meat. Uncooked/ unseasoned is the way to go. Some bags i believe i saw were shell-less as well.

You might want to wait on a confirmation b4 you go grab the correct stuff

It sounds like you just got some cooked shrimp. It should be OK. As long as it can rot and provide an ammonia source you should be OK.
