Thanks for the pictures. Beautiful fish. I have to say Pseudomugil you have a fantastic selection of rainbows. What size is your tank? I have a 55 gal community tank with 6 rainbows. The latest additions are 2 goyder river rainbows. Only about 2 inches long now. See tank below.

Yes it is an emerald. I've had him for about 5 months. His color is really starting to come in. He's now about 4-5 inches long.

Thanks ExoticAquarist. I've had it set up for about 5 years. I wasn't sure if I would like it but I live in a house with very few walls and really had no place for a traditional aquarium. This has worked out well. I think the fish really like all the forward swimming room they have. The tank is about 63 inches long. However the depth is only around 12 inches. That limits some of the fish I can keep but it makes cleaning the tank and working on my plants a lot easier. It's all give and take.

My tank is only a 56 (I know, a lot of fish for a 56) but I plan on upgrading eventually and all of my rainbows are under 3 inches. Also I only have 1 of each species so there's not like 150 rainbows in my tank.

Neon dwarf- melanotaenia praecox
Turquoise- melanotaenia lacustris
Red Irian- glossolepis incisus

East Australian- melanotaenia splendida australis
Lake Tebera- melanotaenia herbertaxelrodi
Parkinsoni- melanotaenia parkinsoni
Wanamensis- glossolepis wanamensis
Ruby trifasciata- melanotaenia trifasciata: ruby
Kamaka- melanotaenia kamaka
Red fin maccullochi- melanotaenia rubripinnis
Splendida- melanotaenia splendida
Ornate Australian- melanotaenia splendida inornata
Ogilby's- melanotaenia ogilbyi
Irian Jaya- melanotaenia irianjaya
Bleheri- chilatherina bleheri
Skull Creek- melanotaenia maccullochi
Sembra Creek- melanotaenia sp. sembra creek
