Rectangular tank on bowfront stand?

Hi everyone,

I went to a local pet store and bought an aquarium stand, but it wasn't until I got home and opened the box that I realized it was made for bowfront tanks...I didn't plan on getting a bowfront tank, was hoping for a standard rectangular one. My question - would a standard tank be ok on the bowfront stand? Or better not to risk it? Thanks for the help.

As long as no part of the aquarium is overhanging the stand. I like to make sure that every square inch of the base has support.

Yeah, I think the standard 12x24 20G tank would just fit the stand
