Safe Temp Daily Fluctuation

I saw another thread under general discussions, and it made me wonder, what is a safe fluctuation from day to night. My tank goes from 79 or 80 at night to 82 or 83 by late afternoon into the evening.

Is a 3 or 4 degree swing during the 24 hour period safe?

I saw this... But not sure if this a safe swing for an aquarium.

From personal observation I would say that 3 degree swing daily is not to bad. If you start going from 80-85F on a regular basis or higher thats when you will really start to have issues with fish health.
