Hello,
Ive had a sixlines wrasse for about 8 months now (11months cycled tank). Just tonight he has been acting VERY odd. He swims to the top and then immediately falls, like a coin falls through water, with his spikes out. Right before hitting the bottom he stops himself and swims off and then repeats the process. If I get close to the tank, he immediately quits this behavior and acts normal. I dropped some food in the water and he went nuts (as did the clowns and strawberry baslet).

He looks like a dying fish until either food or me come close. Ive NEVER seen him do ANYTHING odd (unlike the clowns) before.

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
MAtt

It might be odd but does not sound bad or doesnt surprise me. Just make sure he`s eating. BTW what are you feeding?

Today he is back to normal. Maybe he is just nuts. :p

I feed them Formula 1 pellets and frozen mysis shrimp soaked in garlic.
