Aquarium Advice Newbie
I live in Portland, OR and have extremely soft water from the tap. From the tap the Ph is around 7, doing the kh test, I put in one drop and the solution goes clear - putting in more drops out of curiousness didn't change the color from clearish.
I tested my aquarium water and the ph is in the high 6,s and the KH again will go clear with one drop.
I added 1 tsp of baking soda to the tank, and in 24 hours my Ph rose to 7.2 and Kh registered 3.
I think I should leave it alone now - but with each water change I will be effectively reducing the Ph - so I will have to add some baking soda.
Is there anything else I should be doing or something I shouldn't be doing?
