Most tanks with frames are designed to be supported by the frame only. It will support the weight.

Either way.... Wasn't is Ziggy who learned the hard way about using foam under a tank? One of the Mods has a thread anyways, where they put foam under the tank, then got a call from their wife that the bottom had cracked.

From that video, you have to also realize that the 10g has very very thin glass... I'm thinking 1/8"... My 40 breeder and 150g are both sitting on only a rail. My 125 is just on a plywood top. I had over 300lbs of rock, 150lbs of sand, and whatever amount of water I had in my 150g and never had issue.
