I've been looking for an inexpensive black growing and could not fit one anywhere . This morning I had the best idea ever while browsing through walgreens ... A Black Poster Board ! 99 cents and it looks great !

Looks good!!! I currently am using black cardstock on one of mine because I couldn't get to a fish store haha. I guess whatever looks good works

I found the traditional black background at my local fish store. I think it was only about 3 dollars for a 36 inch piece. I thought they would want more for it.

I go the old fashioned way and have been painting my tanks. :)

Once you do it you never go back! LOL

Yea I looked up some threads on painting and I'm too scared to do it ! I change my opinion to much .. Hehe

I was really scared to try it too. lol I find black to be the best choice for me, I never really wanna change from a basic background so it works for me.

It's really easy to paint it, you should try it! Little foam brush and a small can of paint and youre set. :)
