Turning Lights out suddenly

I have my aquarium light on a timer and I was wondering if the aquarium suddenly going pitch dark at night will stress out the fish too much. Same with it coming on in the morning

Well fish don't have eyelids so a sudden change in light certainly shocks them.

Ya it might but theres no other way

As long as there is some ambient light, be it from room lamps or some sunlight coming into the room, it's not as much of a shock. But yes, if you go from really dark to lights on, the fish can stress easily.
