Used fry tanked

Hey guys, need a bit of quick advice

Looking to set up a small fry tank as i don't like using the hatchery and cant put them in either of my tanks or they will be snacks!

I have seen the perfect tank online but it hasn't been used in 4 months...
If i just cleaned it and put some media from one of my other filter into that filter would it be ok to put fry in straight away?

Should be. Just make sure that you don't use any chemicals when washing the tank out and you'll be golden, especially when you say you'll be using established filter media

Decided against it; didn't have a lid so my cat would go crazy!
I think I will make a tank divider instead.
