Next Thursday morning I will be heading out of town until Monday night. I'm currently in a fishless cycle. On Thursday, can I dose my ammo up to 5-6ppm from 4ppm for the days I'm away? It's currently taking 3 days to drop from 4ppm to 1ppm. Does this solution sound logical or is there a simpler way?

I would just stick with your current dosing (4ppm) and let it be until you return home. Your bacteria shouldnt starve if they are already taking 3 days to lower it to 1ppm. Even one or days with zero ammonia and they will be fine. I keep my qt tank going with doses of ammonia when its not in use and i sometimes forget to dose it for a few days & i have never had a problem keeping it cycled.
